About

MISSION

I’m here to share my love about healthy living and nutrition with you.  My true passion is to guide people to be nourished not only on a cellular level, but also to feel nourished within their lives.  I hope that through our sessions and workshops, I will inspire you to get creative and open your mind (and taste buds) to something you’ve never tried before – something you’ve never done before.  In turn, I am also inspired by each of my clients who share their stories and paths towards wellness with me.  As a Master’s Degree Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach, I love knowing that I play a role in a person’s life changing journey to health.

What are you waiting for?!

ABOUT ME

My education has equipped me with extensive knowledge in nutrition, wellness, and the importance of preventive care. Drawing on my education and experience, I work with clients to assist them in making nutrition and lifestyle changes that produce realistic results. I love going to work every day knowing that I am playing a role in a person’s life changing journey.

In 2008, I received my Bachelors of Science in Dietetics from James Madison University, but I was still hungry for more nutrition knowledge, so I continued on to learn more.

In 2009, I studied to become a Integrative Nutrition Health Coach from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. The school offers the world’s leading health coach training program and teaches practical lifestyle management techniques and a whole foods approach to nutrition.  I learned from top experts in the field of health and nutrition including Dr. Walter Willet, Dr. Andrew Weil, Dr. David Katz, Dr. Mark Hyman, Deepak Chopra, and Dr. John Doulliard.

In 2011, I graduated from Case Western Reserve University with a Masters of Science degree in Public Health Nutrition.  In addition, I completed my Dietetic Internship at Case Western Reserve University.  While completing my dietetic internship, I also worked with St. Helena Unified School District in Napa Valley, Wake County Human Services in North Carolina, Cleveland Clinic in Ohio, and the New York City Department of Health.  I am certified by the Commission on Dietetic Registration as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, and I am an active member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics in the Integrative and Functional Medicine Dietetic Practice Group.

Additionally, I have past experiences working in nutrition, weight loss, and healthy living with the Lake Health Wellness Institute, Spynga, Canyon Ranch, and Virginia’s Community Colleges.

Currently, I am located in the Tidewater Region of Virginia. I am the 2017-2018 President of the Tidewater Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (TAND).  I also work in a lifestyle medicine center and have an integrative nutrition private practice.
